Application Information

IMPROVED!! Everything that you need to know about applications!

Where can I find applications?

Printable applications and waivers for the 2010 season are available on our web site at the bottom of this page now. Hard copies of the application packet will be available at the front desk of the Dearborn Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in February.

What is the deadline for applying?

The deadline for the 2010 season is April 1. We will not accept applications for the 2010 season that were post-marked after April 1, 2010. Space is limited. Do not wait until the last minute!

What do I need to include with my application?

For each participant, include the following:

  • 3 copies of the application!! (Even if you are printing at home.)
  • Signed waiver
  • A self-addressed, stamped envelope for confirmation that the application was received
  • Check made out to "Dearborn Baseball"
  • Please send one envelope and one check for each participant (i.e. If you have three children playing, please send three separate envelopes and three separate checks)
  • Please indicate the appropriate league for the child on the back of the envelope
  • Applications will be returned if any of the above information is missing.

When will I receive confirmation that my child was accepted into the league?

If you include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your application, then you will receive that envelope back as your confirmation. The envelope may be empty, have a small note or be marked. Receipt of the envelope itself is your confirmation. Please allow several weeks to pass after the deadline before expecting to receive your envelope back.

If you do not include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your application, you may not receive any word at all from the league until mid-May. Checks are cashed in groups as we process applications so your check may not be cashed until May. Coaches do not call their players until the middle of May. If you do not send the envelope, do not accept any type of confirmation until sometime in May.

What should I do if I have not heard anything from the league and my check has not been cashed by mid-May?

You may email admin@dbnbaseball@gmail.com to resolve the issue. Do not call or email any member of the league about confirmation until mid-May.

What will happen if I miss the deadline?

Applications received after the deadline will be returned. We will not make any exceptions. Do not call or send emails regarding missed deadlines.

Who do I make the check payable to?

Dearborn Baseball

Where should I send the application?

Send 3 copies of the application + signed waiver + check to:

Dearborn Baseball, PO Box 5629, Dearborn, MI 48128

*Beginning in 2011, Dearborn Baseball will return any applications not received through the U.S. Postal Service

Who should I contact with questions?

Questions about the application process should be directed to admin.dbnbaseball@gmail.com. Less common application questions are included in the FAQ page. There is also a special section for t-ball/coaches pitch parents. Questions regarding schedules and league rules may be answered within those sections of the web site. Please read thoroughly before sending your question.
